Announcing a new article publication for Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications journal. This article describes the successful transcatheter closure of a giant coronary cameral fistula in an infant after two unsuccessful surgical attempts.

The patient, a 4-month-old infant with severe heart failure symptoms, was diagnosed with a large fistula connecting the left anterior descending coronary artery to the right ventricle. After surgical ligation failed due to recanalization and high-flow physiology, clinicians adopted a transcatheter rescue strategy. (more…)
