Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) continue to be a leading cause of global mortality, necessitating the exploration of innovative technologies and devices for early detection and intervention. The field of cardiovascular medicine requires ongoing advancements to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall management of these conditions. Early-stage research plays a crucial role in driving these advancements by paving the way for breakthrough innovations. Thus, this thematic series aims to provide a platform for researchers to share their findings and insights into the early-stage investigation of novel technologies and devices in the cardiovascular field. By fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, we strive to contribute to the development of cutting-edge approaches that will revolutionize cardiovascular care.

CVIA invites submissions of original research articles, reviews, commentaries, short communications, and case reports that explore and present novel approaches, technologies, and devices in the early stages of research within the cardiovascular field. The focus areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Innovative diagnostic techniques and tools for cardiovascular conditions.
  • Novel therapeutic approaches and interventions for cardiovascular diseases.
  • Advancements in cardiovascular imaging techniques and their applications.
  • Wearable devices and mobile health technologies for cardiovascular monitoring and management.
  • Bioengineering and biomaterials in cardiovascular medicine.
  • Early-stage research on regenerative medicine and tissue engineering for cardiovascular regeneration.
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in cardiovascular care.
  • Next-generation cardiovascular devices and their integration with digital health platforms.

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that present substantial progress in their research, along with preliminary results and feasibility studies. By sharing early-stage investigations, this series will facilitate collaboration, discussion, and potential opportunities for further research and development.
