Call for Editorial Board Members — Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications

Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications is seeking dedicated, experienced, and scholarly leaders to join its Editorial Board beginning April 1, 2026. The Editorial Board plays a critical role in guiding the journal’s scientific direction, maintaining high editorial standards, and fostering engagement with the global research community.

Term & Deadline

  • Term: Two-year appointment (renewable for one additional term)
  • Application Deadline: March 31, 2026

Who Should Apply

We invite expressions of interest from established researchers and professionals who meet the following criteria:

  • PhD or equivalent terminal degree completed within the past 10 years (exceptions considered for career interruptions, including family or medical leave).
  • First or corresponding author on at least 10 peer-reviewed publications in the last five years.
  • Demonstrated research impact in cardiology or related cardiovascular specialties.
  • Active engagement in the scientific community (e.g., presentations at international conferences, leadership in professional societies).

As part of the Editorial Board, members will receive:

  • An official certificate of appointment.
  • Regular acknowledgement on the journal website for contributions to peer review.
  • Opportunities to participate in or lead annual meetings and webinars with the Editor-in-Chief and fellow Board Members.

Responsibilities of Editorial Board Members

Editorial Board Members are expected to:

  • Identify and encourage high-quality research submissions.
  • Provide strategic feedback on journal policies and scope.
  • Promote the journal among peers and at academic events.
  • Attend periodic editorial meetings to support journal development.
  • Review manuscripts in a timely and constructive manner.

Selection process

The initial screening of application materials will be followed by selection by the Editor-in-Chief; an email notification will follow, and, thereafter, a certificate of appointment will be issued.
