Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications (CVIA) publishes focused articles and original clinical research that explore novel developments in cardiovascular disease, effective control and rehabilitation in cardiovascular disease, and promote cardiovascular innovations and applications for the betterment of public health globally.

The journal publishes basic research that has clinical applicability in order to promote timely communication of the latest insights relating to coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia, prevention of cardiovascular disease with a heavy emphasis on risk factor modification.

Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications (CVIA) also welcomes:


Short, narrowly focused articles of contemporary interest are usually commissioned by the journal.

Case Studies

New, interesting and rare cases can be reported. They should be unique, describing a great diagnostic or therapeutic challenge and providing a learning point for the readers.


Ideally of a general, not specialist interest describing a clinical story of a difficult differential diagnosis in an engaging and concise manner, while respecting the dignity of the patient. Novelty is not essential, but at least one broadly useful learning point is.

Letter to the Editor

These should be short and decisive observations. They should preferably be related to articles previously published in Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications (CVIA) or views expressed in the journal. They should not be preliminary observations that need a later paper for validation.

Methodology papers related to clinical trials

These can pertain to all aspects of clinical trials, including, but not limited to, design, conduct, analysis, regulation and ethics.
