Targeting Immune Mechanisms in Myocardial Infarction – From Bioinformatic Discovery to Therapeutic Translation

Announcing a new article publication for Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications journal.  It is abundantly clear that the immune system plays an increasingly pivotal role in Myocardial Infarction pathogenesis and repair. The discovery of key immune factors, such as S100A12 and BCL6, have not only deepened our understanding of the disease mechanism, but also elucidated novel pathways for precise diagnosis and targeted intervention. Critically, emerging modalities, including cellular therapies, nanodelivery systems, and intelligent immunomodulation strategies, are rapidly transitioning from preclinical validation to clinical application, offering transformative approaches for long-term cardiac preservation and enhanced cardiac event reduction. Future breakthroughs in MI precision medicine will depend on resolving the spatiotemporal balance between inflammation control and tissue regeneration, ultimately enabling personalized interventions centered on dynamic immune microenvironment modulation.
