Medical Economic Consequences, Predictors, and Outcomes of Immediate Atrial Fibrillation Recurrence after Radiofrequency Ablation

Atrial Fibrillation Recurrence

Announcing a new article publication for Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications journal. Immediate recurrence (Im-Recurr), a type of atrial fibrillation (AF) recurrence occurring during the blanking period after radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA), has received little attention. Therefore, this study was aimed at exploring the clinical significance of Im-Recurr in patients with AF after RFCA.

Causal Associations Between the Gut Microbiome and Aortic Aneurysm: A Mendelian Randomization Study

Announcing a new article publication for Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications journal.  Observational studies have indicated an association between the gut microbiota and the occurrence and progression of aortic aneurysm (AA). However, the causal relationship between the gut microbiota and AA and its subtypes remains unclear. This study used Mendelian randomization (MR) to gain new insights into the relationship between the gut microbiota and AA, including AA subtypes.

Advances in MicroRNA-Mediated Regulation of Cardiomyocyte Injury After Coronary Microembolization

Announcing a new article publication for Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications journal.  Coronary microembolization (CME) occurs in patients with acute coronary syndrome and is caused primarily by atherosclerotic plaque rupture associated with surgery. CME can lead to arrhythmias, decreased coronary blood flow reserve, and cardiac systolic dysfunction. The clinical efficacy of conventional coronary artery dilation, antiplatelet agents, and direct thrombus aspiration after CME is not satisfactory.

Transcatheter “Sandwich” Valve-in-Valve Implantation Technique for Pure Aortic Regurgitation: Operation Skills and Single Center Experience

“Sandwich” Valve-in-Valve Implantation TechniqueAnnouncing a new article publication for Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications journal.  No commercial “on-label” transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) device for aortic regurgitation (AR) is available in most countries. TAVR for AR with an “off-label” self-expanding device has shown acceptable procedural success but it elevated rates of early mortality and other complications. (more…)

Immediate Effects of Calf Muscle Release via Foam Rolling and Active Stretching on Blood Pressure, Heart Rate and the Rate Pressure Product in People with High-Normal Blood Pressure – A Comparative Study

High normal blood pressure

High normal blood pressure

Announcing a new article publication for Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications journal. High-normal blood pressure (i.e., 130–139/85–89 mmHg) has hazardous ratio for both coronary heart disease and stroke, because of day to day variations in blood pressure; consequently, prevention through lifestyle modification is essential.Although numerous studies have examined stretching and myofascial release to lower blood pressure, (more…)
